For parents

• Safe and cared for

Children are looked after by trusted volunteers.

  Safeguarding and check-in

  Keeping children safe

  1. 1

     Signed in and signed out

A parent or guardian signs each child in, and we only hand a child back to that parent or guardian, or to someone they have named.

  2. 2

     Never one adult alone

At least two trusted adults are always with the children, and no adult is alone with a child out of sight of others.

  3. 3

     Trusted, prepared volunteers

Everyone who serves with children is known to the church and agrees to follow these rules.

  4. 4

     Safe rooms and health needs

Rooms are open and visible, exits and first aid are at hand, and we note each child’s allergies and medical needs at sign-in.

  5. 5

Respect, and every concern taken seriously

We treat every child with respect, share no photos of children without their parents’ consent, and report any concern to the church leadership straight away.

• Stay in the loop

Ask our team about what your child is learning, so you can continue the conversation at home.
